In this picture, I tried to recreate the style artists used in older comic books. I've done a little of this in the past but it's been a long time. There's a very specific method to comic book art. It's meant to be visually exciting, so there is high contrast; mostly darks and lights with very few middle tones. The lines also have to be thick and clear, no small, subtle lines. Also, the poses of the characters must always be dynamic.

I have to admit, it was a very different style than what I'm used to. I received a lot of compliments on it but I think it still needs work, especially with the coloring.

I basically just made up the characters off the top of my head, although a couple of them are vaguely related to ones I drew back in Jr. High and High School.
